Thanksgiving & Black Friday 2016

Hi guys!

So it is the holiday weekend we have waited for so long, but it is only one day left till Monday...

which means Thanksgiving & Black Friday 2016 is successfully over.

How was yours if you live in the states?

Hope everybody had the greatest one with beloved ones.❤︎

To me, this year I decided to spend my little sister who is my only blood family in the states I have.

皆様こんばんは！

今週はサンクスギビング（感謝祭）の週なので4連休真っ只中です。

毎年11月の第4木曜日が感謝祭にあたります。

アメリカではサンクスギビングは文字通り、改めて家族や自分の周りの人、環境などに感謝する日。

普段は別々に暮らしている家族や親戚がみんな集まって、

一緒に食事やボードゲームなどを楽しむ、日本でいうお正月のような祝日なのです。

私は毎年違った過ごし方をしていて、

留学時代は家族や親戚もいなかったので友達と過ごしたり、

ESLの先生のおうちにお呼ばれして伝統的なサンクスギビング・ディナーを食べたり、

会社の先輩のおうちで一緒にお食事させていただいたりしたのですが

今年はみなみがいるので2人で私のおうちで過ごすことに。

I made dinner for her that does not include any kind of "Thanksgiving-ish" dishes.

I made crusted salmon, bolognese pasta, smoked salmon salad, and avocado caprese.

The shrimp cocktail is from Ralph's :)

My sis and I fully enjoyed the homemade dinner which made me feel even more grateful to spend time together.

ターキーとクランベリーソースなどの「サンクスギビングらしい」メニューは

全然作らず（笑）完全に自分の好みのクラスティッドサーモンや

ボロネーゼ、アボカドとエビのカプレーゼなどを作りました！

まぁ全部簡単なレシピなんだけどね。。。（あまり凝ったものは作れないのです。）

でもみなみが喜んでたくさん食べてくれたのでとっても嬉しかったです❤︎

需要があればいつかはレシピ載せたいなぁ。とても簡単なので！！！

Of course every girl loves shopping time after Thanksgiving, right?!

In my case, I made a purchase on ZARA online that offered 30% off entire collection (pretty good deal!) around 5pm PST (because the sale started at 8PM EST.)

On the Black Friday, we left home about 6:45am and got the nearest mall around 7am.

We barely saw people getting into the mall, not bad at all as crazy as you imagine.

I tried to save as much as I could so got only what I felt like I needed. :)

Down below I would like to share some moments I felt Christmas in the air.

(In fact Christmas is the most favorite holiday of the year if you knew...❤︎)

そしてサンクスギビングの翌日の金曜日はブラックフライデーと呼ばれる、

一年で一番アメリカ人がお金を使うらしい？！

ストアやオンラインショップでかなりお得なセールが一斉に開催される日。

私たちはブラックフライデー当日、近所のモールに行きました！

朝の6時前に起きて、7時にはモールに着いてました笑

着いた時はあまり人を見かけなかったけど、

9時あたりになるとさすがに人も増えてきていたよー！

行くなら朝一、おすすめです！笑

そしてこの日にクリスマスギフトをお得にゲットする人も少なくないはず。

なのでこの日を境に、街はクリスマスの雰囲気一色になるのです❤︎

モールで流れている音楽もクリスマスソングだったり♪

クリスマスは一番好きなホリデーだからワクワクするなぁあ。

プレゼント何も貰わなくても好きなのです。笑

日本ではクリスマス＝恋人と過ごす日というイメージですが、

私の中では家族と過ごすというイメージが強くて

日本にいる頃も家族でチキンとフルーツタルトを食べて。一緒に写真を撮るのが定番でした！

今年は年末を日本で過ごせないので、それが実現できない。。。寂しいなぁ。。

久しぶりのGODIVAソフトクリームと鼎泰豊（ディンタイフォン）、

とーっても美味しかった。

I am all grateful for everything what I have.

The people who always are on my side with so much love, the job and co-workers that are very understanding, and also being healthy is one of the most grateful things I could not forget.

Also let's not forget to thank Thanksgiving for reminding us how important to be thankful for whatever it counts...
